Another day at Simplecue HQ! Big day of coding! Not long to go now :)
Startup Tools - Planning
Startup Goal 1: Make sure you can release always!
Well when you want to release to customers all the time, you still need to plan! Whilst at Simplecue we always look to ‘lean’ up our delivery with as many agile practices as possible - well ones that make sense!
So we focus on using simple systems, and products that just make sense to the way we do things. We discovered Agile Bench (www.agilebench.com) some time ago and have seen this product also move through the traditional growth process that startups endure. Its been fantastic to work with the Founder Mark Mansour, and experience the passion he has for creating great products, and for supporting startups.
We have greatly enjoyed the using Agile Bench, with dispersed team, and customers across a number of countries, it would have certainly been a great deal more challenging if wasn’t for this great product. It’s provides a point of difference to other agile tools as its focus is on ‘planning’, it provides:
1. An ability to truly provide a level of preparation and planning exposure. However, we are not taking ‘Big Up Front’. It delivers the key information to assist in fast and dymamic decision making:
2. A simple interface with an ability to operate in different modes (*List or Wall View). Further, a ‘QUICK STORY’ creation process to help with brainstorming or problem sorting.
3. The ability to Focus on a Feature and/or Person so that you can gain a snapshot of a valued item.
Loads more…. No I am not being paid by Agile Bench to state this! I believe than when you locate a product that ‘just works’ you should tell people. And often, as startups, we just need simplicity amongst the chaos that we work with.
So if you are looking for a simple, easy, adaptable, affordable way to support and plan your startup well here’s one for the toolkit!
Joined Pinterest today! Very interesting design and interaction. It provides a different way for people to socialize and discuss topics. I’m not sure if this will be a primary tool for everyones interaction - Thought it does feel comfortable to use! Nice work Team Pinterest.
